At the start of her career as a Nutritionist in 2013, she worked for a residential behavioral health center that served at-risk adolescents in East Orange, NJ. During the weekends, she was a hospice volunteer with Vitas Healthcare. It gave her an appreciation for working with geriatric patients. She attended the ?Food for Your Whole Life? health symposium of 2010 held in New York City. It was led by medical talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz. The experience influenced Nikita to become a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She joined the Pediatric Nutrition specialized practice group and found interest in their monthly published medical journals. She also became a Certified Transitional Lifestyle System Weight Management Coach at her alma mater.

In 2015, Nikita moved to the vibrant neighborhood of Greenwich Village in Manhattan, NY. While living in the city she enrolled at the world renowned Parsons School of Design. She often participated in intercollegiate workshops at Columbia University, and The Copper Union. She was invited as an emerging designer to attend New York Fashion Week at Pier59 Studios for Fall/Winter2016. Nikita graduated from the New School and received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design. After getting married she returned to the suburbs to be with her husband.

In her leisure time, Nikita writes letters using her vintage 1950s typewriter and paper sourced from the French Paper Company mill in Niles, MI. She also enjoys dining at restaurants newly mentioned in the annual Michelin Guide. On occasion you can find her browsing through the rare and collectible department of Strand Bookstore to invest in first edition copies of foreign literature. Nikita often travels to her native country of India to visit family members and reconnect with former classmates.

She is an alumna of Saint Jerome School, a National Blue Ribbon private school in West Long Branch, NJ. She attributes her strong ethical foundation to the education she received there as a student. She is mindful of those values while working with patients at Healing Star Physical Therapy since 2019.
